Class Descriptions

Cirque Boreal recognizes 4 levels of aerialist – Novice, Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced. Courses target different levels of aerialist. For more information, please contact us.

 

Intro to Aerial Silks (Novice) - 1 hour 15 min

• All are welcome to join us for Intro to Aerial Silks. We will be starting from the ground up (literally)! If you have never touched an aerial fabric before – this is the class for you!

Beginning Aerial Silks I (Beginner) - 1 hour 15 min

• For those who have learned the basics (foot lock, wrist lock, climb, etc.) this course will explore movement, increase aerial vocabulary,  and build upon those basic skills. In both beginning courses we will work on developing Stamina, Strength, and Good Form.

Beginning Aerial Silks II (Beginner) - 1 hour 15 min

• For those who have a good handle on the basics, we will work on simple introductory inversions (cross back straddle, invert from the ground, etc.) and foundational moves that will be needed for more advanced skills. To advance from beginner to intermediate you must demonstrate Stamina, Strength, and Good Form.

Open Hang (Open to All) - 1 hour 15 min

• All are welcome to open hang time

Special Workshop (Intermediate, Advanced) - 2 hour 30 min

• For those who have already mastered the beginning skills, special workshops will be offered that are tailored to advancing your aerial abilities. These workshops will vary based on demand.
